Catch all the latest films at the multiplex cinema at Gunwharf Quays or visit Cinema No.6 in the dockyard for independent and world cinema. The Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea hold fortnightly comedy nights, a great and inexpensive night out, and here you can also catch live bands and club nights.

Portsmouth Guildhall also regularly hosts concerts and live shows, and there are pubs in the city where you can see live music. However you want to spend your time, there are a range of bars and clubs for all, many of which offer student nights.
