As well as the high street shops in the centre of the city, Portsmouth has many shopping areas to suit everyone's taste and budget. All are within easy access, so from the bustle of the city centre, you can walk to Gunwharf Quays, which offers over 90 outlet designer shops and stores, and with its many restaurants and cafés, there's plenty of places to stop for a coffee break. Follow the water's edge down to Southsea where you'll find a mix of high street and independent and specialist stores. Be sure to visit Albert Road, with its collection of independent and quirky shops, retro clothes, antiques and crafts.
