Library

Student support libraryThe University Library is at the centre of academic life, providing information in a variety of forms to help you with your study and research.

Convenient location and times

The library is conveniently situated right in the centre of campus and is open from 8am until midnight every day during term time. A team of subject specialist librarians and other trained staff provides a wide range of services to support your information needs and help you make the most of the resources available.

Investment in learning

We recognise that having an excellent library is important to students and we have recently completed a new £11 million extension, adding 200 more study spaces, six rooms for group study, 200 new IT spaces, a new cafe and space for an extra 60,000 volumes.

We have invested heavily in the purchase of electronic recourses, which are readily available wherever and whenever you want to study. There are over 10,000 electronic journals available, together with thousands of e-books, which can be accessed across campus, from home, from wherever there is an internet connection.
