When you choose the University of Portsmouth, not only will you be studying at a university rated 'Gold' by the Government for teaching excellence, but you'll also be joining thousands of other satisfied students who study with us.

The 2017 National Student Survey (NSS) found that overall satisfaction is 88% at the University of Portsmouth. 

That's higher than the national average for the 11th year in a row and puts us in the top 15% of UK institutions for overall student satisfaction.

The NSS is an independent survey that measures student satisfaction. It asks final year students in all UK universities to give feedback on factors such as the quality of their teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources and personal development. More than 3,600 University of Portsmouth students took part in the survey this year.

As well as this, more than half of our courses have student satisfaction rates of 90% or more.

Overall, Portsmouth students are satisfied with all aspects of their experience. Students rated the teaching on their course (86%) and learning resources (88%) particularly highly.
