Portsmouth is the 43rd best university in the UK and in the world's top 500
When you choose the University of Portsmouth, you'll study at one of the UK’s top 50 universities and one of the top 500 in the world.
This is according to the Guardian University Guide 2017, which named us the 43rd best in the UK, and Times Higher Education, which puts us in the top 500 universities in the world.
This is the second year in a row the University has been in the top 50 universities in the UK and the third successive year the University has climbed the Guardian University Guide's rankings.
The Guardian University Guide also ranked our sports science courses at number two in the UK with 100% of our students satisfied with their course.
Overall, 89% of our students are satisfied with their course. This is higher than the national average of 86%.
