The Economist’s research shows the average University of Portsmouth graduate earns £3,100 (13%) above expectations, five years after graduation.
To calculate a university’s impact on its graduates’ salaries, The Economist compared each university’s graduates’ earnings with the average predicted salary of a student. It based this on several factors, including previous exam results and social background.
How we prepare you for employment
To get you ready for the world of work, we give you ongoing careers support from the start your course to several years after you finish.
Our courses also include work-related learning and visits from employers, so you gain practical skills you can apply to the workplace when you graduate. On many of our courses, you’ll be able to use real-life facilities, such as our replica courtroom, model pharmacy, TV studio and forensic house.
You’ll also get support from our extensive careers and employability service. And, with dedicated faculty placement offices, volunteering opportunities and an online jobs board. there are plenty of opportunities to get work experience while you study.
