The University is replacing and expanding the wireless infrastructure across the entire campus, responding to the increased needs of our students and staff. The new system will expand the wireless coverage and make connecting easier, resulting in a faster, more stable and reliable connection.
In addition, our three existing networks will be moved to one network using eduroam (educational roaming). This new system will allow our users to connect to the wireless network in our campus and to networks in other institutions in the UK, Europe, and the world that use the eduroam system.
eduroam will be implemented across campus by Information Services over the coming months. You don’t have to do anything yet; we will soon let you know how to reconfigure your wireless device(s).
