The Marketing and Communications department has been welcoming our new 2011 students to Portsmouth since May this year with plenty of useful information via the Your Portsmouth website – www.port.ac.uk/yourportsmouth – supported by a facebook page and twitter feed.
Once our new students have confirmed with us next week they will receive a pack of information through the post, which includes the Getting Started at University booklet and the Your Portsmouth Guide, detailing what to do before they arrive and where to go in their first few weeks.
We will also provide a Pocket Guide to student services and a handbook of important information upon their arrival.
Staff might like to make use of the induction presentation when welcoming new students, which provides details of the main communication channels, student services and the shared charter.
