Portsmouth Business School has received accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) joining a select group of business faculties and schools worldwide.
The EFMD Programme Accreditation System (EPAS) recognises excellence in business programmes that operate on an international level. The Business School has received a three year accreditation for the Faculty’s undergraduate Business Studies Suite, which includes BA (Hons) Business Studies, BA (Hons) Business Administration and BA (Hons) International Business Studies.
The EPAS accreditation panel examined and appraised each course for its programme content, the quality of teaching and learning, the development of its students and the careers they pursue after graduation.
Dean of the Business School, Professor Gioia Pescetto, said: “The process of gaining EPAS accreditation is notoriously thorough so I am delighted that Portsmouth has been successful. I have just joined as the new Dean and by all accounts there was enormous commitment and hard work from staff at the end of the last academic year to achieve this result.
“The EFMD is one of the leading global accreditation bodies in the field of business and management and the EPAS accreditation is an excellent endorsement of the quality of our programmes. Receiving this accreditation is an important step for the Business School and confirms our place as a significant international provider of business education”.
