The University Health and Safety Office in partnership with the University of Chichester, runs the NEBOSH (Nation Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) courses. These are globally-recognised, vocationally-related qualifications designed to meet the health, safety, environmental, and risk management needs of all places of work in both the private and public sectors.
The courses we are running this year are:
Fire Safety Management and Risk Assessment Certificate
Six-week day release course leading to qualification for those with fire safety responsibilities in the workplace. For managers and supervisory staff who need to ensure that their Faculty/Department meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation.
Environmental Management Certificate
Six-week day release course providing a sound foundation in environmental management. For managers, supervisors and employees who have responsibility for managing environment issues, as part of their day-to-day duties.
National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
Twelve-week day release course hosted by the University. It is especially beneficial to Health and Safety coordinators, managers, supervisors and staff who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues.
Well Being Certificate
This course is proposed to run as a day release course starting in autumn 2012 at the University. It will provide managers, supervisors and HR staff with the skills and knowledge to tackle health and well being at work.
