The University is replacing the wireless infrastructure in campus, responding to the needs of staff and students. The new eduroam (educational roaming) system provides an expanded wireless coverage with a faster, more stable and reliable connection.
Another advantage of eduroam is that you will also be able to connect to networks in other institutions in the UK, Europe, and the world.
What happens next?
The University’s two old networks IS Mobile Media 1 and UoP Students will close on Monday 5 December 2011.
I use IS Mobile Media 1 and/or UoP Students wifi, what do I do?
You must change your wireless settings to connect to eduroam before Monday 5 December 2011. You can do this right now if you wish.
