Phishing emails can look very convincing – it’s very easy to be taken in.
If you are asked to reveal your password/PIN by email or over the telephone, please STOP and REMEMBER:
- banks NEVER ask for it
- the University would NEVER ask for it
- no law-abiding organisation or person would ever ask for it
Don’t hand your password/PIN over.
However, if you are tricked… change your password/PIN immediately. Then inform the University (work password) or your bank/credit card company (your card PIN number).
