Myport Beta brings together news, events and support services that students would normally see on the LookUP pages, plus personal information that students would normally see in the Student Portal and in their Google account.
Students can still see all the information on the official sites above and the University recommends that they continue to use those sites. The University hopes that students will trial Myport Beta and provide feedback, allowing us to improve the website and the student experience.
What will students see on Myport Beta?
Once students are logged in to www.myport.ac.uk with their student google username and password, they can see their student email, personal google calendar, and student news and events right on the front page.
Timetables
Under the My Learning tab students can view their timetables. They can now also subscribe to iCal and have their timetable delivered to their google calendar or any other calendar system. This means they can now view timetables on their smart device (iPhone or iPad for example).
My Learning
Students can access their contact details, timetable and assessment marks, the same as they can currently access in the Student Portal. They can also see their units and access Victory.
My Support and Information
Here students will find links to all the student support services and other useful information that they might need, the same as they can find currently on LookUP.
Please advise your students to test the site and provide us with feedback, however ensure students use the existing portal and LookUP websites as the official student areas.
