Last summer’s in-house Mole and skin checking clinics were very successful. Co-ordinated by Occupational Health, in partnership with Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, 185 members of staff came along to see specialist dermatology nurses to have their skin checked over.
This is a 33 per cent increase on the previous year’s attendance so Occupational Health is running this service again.
If you are a member of staff and are concerned about any moles you might have or any skin changes, we welcome you to take advantage of this service.
In particular the nurses will be looking for early signs of skin cancer and will be able to discuss with you how best to protect yourself in the sunshine. They will also be able to advise whether a fast-track referral to the hospital would be recommended.
The clinic will take place from 9.30am to 3.20pm on Wednesday 25 July 2012.
Booking
All staff are welcome, especially if you had concerns last year but did not come or were unable to attend the clinic.
Please contact Occupational Health on ext 3187 to book a confidential 10 minute appointment slot.

There is no link to add this event to your calendar. Please note that you must book your appointment with Occupational Health as this is not a drop-in clinic.
