IS Tuesday security tip:Scammers are upping their game

We are all getting better at recognising a phishing attempt so crooks are changing their tactics. Increasingly common is the unexpected phone call from Microsoft claiming that your computer is infected.

They don’t ask for money – not straight away – and they may take a couple of days and repeated calls to gain your trust.

What can you do?

  • trust your instincts
  • never tell anybody your passwords or financial details
