External examiners regulations and procedures

Ahead of the new term, all staff are advised that Academic Council has approved a new edition of the External Examiners Regulations and Procedures.

This came into force this month (September 2012) and you can find the document on the website at www.port.ac.uk/accesstoinformation/policies/externalexaminers/filetodownload,10392,en.pdf

The document will be of interest to all staff who have either direct, or indirect, involvement with External Examiners including (but not exclusively) their appointment, and their role and responsibilities. Heads of Department in particular are asked to ensure that relevant staff are made familiar with this document.
