This year’s Freshers’ Ball on Sunday 30 September is set to be bigger and better than ever. Have an amazing time as you start your University career in style.
Just remember….when you leave the venue and are on your way home, it will most likely be very late.
Follow these tips from the Student and Neighbour Liaison Service to stay safe and be responsible members of the community:
- Avoid areas you do not know very well when making your way home.
- Arrange journeys with friends – do not walk alone.
- Keep to well-lit streets, do not use dark alleys or shortcuts.
- Use licensed taxis or the bus.
- Remember your neighbours will keep different schedules to you –respect this.
- Sound travels a lot more in the early hours – be careful when slamming taxi/front doors.
- If you are walking home keep voices down –particularly if your route takes you through residential areas.
The Student and Neighbour Liaison Service exists to establish and maintain good relations between students, their neighbours and the general community of Portsmouth.
