Pensions Auto Enrolment scheme

With effect from 1 May 2013 the University will be required to automatically enrol eligible staff into a pension scheme. Auto Enrolment is a legislative change and applies to every employer within the UK, not just the public sector.

The reforms are being introduced to help individuals plan and save for their retirement.

LGPS Benefits statements

The LGPS Benefits statements are currently being distributed. If you do not receive a statement it may be because you were not a member of the scheme prior to 1 October 2011.

If you have not received a statement by the end of October and you think you should have done, please email hrenquiries@port.ac.uk.
