RAG Week begins 10 November, with plenty of Raising and Giving activities from the Students’ Union.
Saturday 10th November
We will be selling poppys for The Royal British Legion all week leading up to RAG Week and on Saturday 10th November ready for Remembrance Sunday.
Monday 12th November
Big Break – can you clear the pool table the fastest?
Man v Food – take part in our culinary challenges including spaghetti, jelly and chilis.
Tuesday 13th November
Come along to one of our legendary RAG socials!
Wednesday 14th November
Celebrate Movember AU-style! Watch the American Football Team take part in a hot dog eating contest, decorate a pair of pants to wear outside your clothes for Purple Wednesday and we’ll paint a ‘tache on your face.
Donation Day – in partnership with the Food Bank, Central Point and Two Saints. Purple Door, 28 Guildhall Walk. This day is to raise awareness about homelessness within the City of Portsmouth, but to also ask for donations for these organisations, which will get passed onto some of the neediest people within our city.
The following donations are needed;
Tinned and dried food goods (in date please)
Toiletries
Clothing that is wearable – male and female
All donations will then be taken to the most relevant organisation and distributed for use.
Thursday 15th November
Games tournament – compete to be the best at Gran Turismo.
Open Mic Night – perform a song of your choice.
Sportos Dance Off – the annual Dance Off between the sports teams.
Friday 16th November
It’s Children In Need day! Head to the Guildhall for dancing, singing and zumba between 12 and 2pm and meet Pudsey!
Saturday 17th November
Lost – fancy being blindfolded and dropped off in a mystery location?
Sunday 18th November
Bushtucker Trial – our very own Sabbatical Officers will be fundraising for ActionAid all week. Whoever raises the least will have to do RAG’s very own Bushtucker Trial in the half time break of the Waterhole Quiz. It’s going to be messy!
