For a £10 deposit, if you are ever stranded with no money or friends then you can use it instead of cash in a CityWide taxi. All you then need to do is come back into the Union, pay the price of the fare and collect your card to use again.
Alternatively, if you pay cash then you can use the Get Home Safe Card to get a 10% discount on your fare with CityWide.
