This year, for environmental reasons, staff are encouraged to use an e-card to send a seasonal greeting from the University of Portsmouth.

  1. I am sure that some people worked very hard on this card, but it’s a bit cheesy, isn’t it? Surely leaving “Season’s Greetings” as the only text on the card would look more professional, instead of the jumble of buzz words?

  2. I wholeheartedly disagree with the comment by Anonymous, I believe anyone (employee and otherwise) would be delighted to receive this festive ecard that really illustrates the meaning of Christmas.

  3. This card will play a crucial role in my annual family Christmas Powerpoint presentation which this year will be themed around increasing product awareness in demographics which have been previously overlooked in response to a
    challenging marketplace.

Promises to be a real treat!

    Jingle bells

    • I want to go to Christmas round your house, sounds like it’ll be a hoot. The Christmas card sucks by the way. Last year’s was much more festive.

  4. I would not be delighted to receive this advertising material and would be embarrassed to send it. It has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas, it doesn’t even mention it.

    • In fact, its messages are the very antithesis of the Christmas message. You don’t have to be an ardent ‘believer’ to see that this unashamed advertising material is – well – nothing more than that and as such entirely inappropriate for a Christmas/seasonal greetings card.

  5. So a Christmas ecard that doesn’t mention Christmas?
    Pathetic

  6. I have already received this. It was a disappointment on last years version..

  7. Christmas: A celebration of the birth of a baby who grew up to spread a message of humility, kindness, generosity and self-sacrifice. I seem to have missed how this card relates.
Disappointing – I am happy to support e-cards but won’t be sending this one.

  8. I’m ashamed of it. No Christmas values on the card at all.

  9. Bournemouth’s is much nicer:
