Portsmouth City Council will be holding events on Guildhall Walk on 12 and 14 December, and at Gunwharf Quays on the 21 December, from 7pm-11pm.
Last year a Hampshire family sadly lost their daughter after she crashed her car whilst over the drink drive limit. Her car will be used at these events to discuss the issues around drink driving and we will be encouraging people to sign a pledge to promise not to drink and drive or to get in the car with a driver who they have seen drinking. It’s not worth the risk.
There will be fun elements too, you can try out our drink-drive goggles and see if you can carry out basic tasks whilst impaired. You will also be able take part in our quiz and receive freebie bumper stickers.
The key message this year is that even one drink could take you over the limit. We will be encouraging people not to drink a drop before getting behind the wheel.
