The following key services have changes to their opening times due to the Christmas closure:
Cashier Desk – closed on Friday 22 December.
University Library – Check the opening hours online.
Estates Help desk – normal service up to and including Friday 21 December.
Sport and Recreation – facilities will be open until 8pm on Friday 21 December.
Information Services
The University’s core IT services will remain fully operational during the Christmas break with limited support. The last monitored backups will be completed on the evening of Thursday 20 December. Please be aware that we are unable to guarantee that work completed over the Christmas/New Year period can be retrieved in the case of loss or failure, as backups will not be monitored until full service resumes.
The Service Desk will be available for basic IT issues anytime during the Christmas/New Year closure, day or night (even on Christmas Day). The Service Desk can be contacted as normal on 023 9284 7777 (please note that emails will not be monitored during the break).
IS will be providing support until 4.15pm on Friday 21 December.
Please remember to turn off the power for all PCs, printers, screens and secure laptops before you leave for the holiday.
Normal service across the University will resume on Wednesday 2 January 2013.
