It is also my opinion that mesothelioma has an extremely long latency period, which means that symptoms of the disease may not emerge until 30 to 50 years after the 1st exposure to asbestos fiber.  Pleural mesothelioma, that is certainly the most common form and is affecting the area within the lungs, will cause shortness of breath, upper body pains, including a persistent coughing, which may result in coughing up our blood.</description>
