‘Around the world in one day’

The International Office is hosting its fifth annual ‘Around the world in one day’ on Wednesday 27 February 2013 (from 6.00pm to 8.00pm) as part of Diversity Week (25 Feb 2013 to 1 March 2013).

This is an exhibition style event where students show off their country and culture with pride. Come along and see the array of costumes, food, music and arts and crafts on show. Several student groups will also be performing  with songs from Africa and the Caribbean as well as traditional folk dancing and more.

This event is in its fifth year and is always a great success. Last year, we had Chinese calligraphy, Japanese origami, Arabic henna tattooing, food tasting, traditional Malaysian, Nepalese and Vietnamese dance and much more.

The event is being opened by Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr David Arrell and is part funded by Equalities department. It’s taking place in Portland Building Atrium and we hope to see you there.

Join our event on Facebook and please spread the word.
