A small number of students in Portsmouth are unwell with what could be mumps. This level of illness is expected at this time of year. No mumps cases have been confirmed and at this point there is no reported outbreak.
The best protection against mumps is the MMR vaccine. If you have not already had two doses of MMR, make an appointment with your GP practice to get vaccinated.
