Cooling strategies in the heat
Research Study: Effectiveness of cooling strategies during high-intensity exercise in hot, humid conditions
Location: Spinnaker Building, Department of Sport and Exercise Science

Participants will be asked to complete a test of a maximal nature prior to completing three experimental trials examining the effects of different cooling strategies during high-intensity exercise in hot, humid conditions.
The inclusion criteria for this study are:
- Participants must be male
- Between the age of 16 and 39
- Be regularly undertaking sustained moderate to high intensity exercise
- Be free of any illnesses and injuries
Breast pain
Research study: This project will be monitoring breast pain over a three month period

Incentive: Free bra fitting and a free bra for participating
The Research Group in Breast Health recruiting volunteers for an MRes project.
The inclusion criteria for this study are:
- You must be suffering from breast pain on a monthly basis
- You must not be undergoing any clinical breast care treatment for your breast pain
- You must be one of the following bra sizes:
- 32 DD, E, F
- 34 DD, E, F
- 36 DD, E, F
- You must be female
- You must be pre-menopausal
- You must be over the age of 18
- You must not be pregnant, or have been pregnant/breast feeding in the past year
- You must also be able to walk up a small set of steps and on a treadmill
- You must not have had any surgical procedures to the breast
Personality trends and the interpretation of social situations
Research study: This study involves completing an online questionnaire containing questions on how you see yourself and others, and questions regarding the interpretation of different social situations.

Anybody can take part in this study which will take between 15 – 20 minutes.
