Would you like the opportunity to work with a BBC producer? This summer there are lots of events and activities taking place across the city celebrating the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. To capture this, Portsmouth City Council are looking for a team of volunteers to film and take photographs of events such as the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay and also the events being held at the Portsmouth Live Site (Big Screen in Guildhall Square).
They have set up a free training session with the Big Screen Producer who looks after the Big Screen Portsmouth and Dover for the BBC. You will be able to learn more about the Big Screen project, the key partners, what can and cannot be shown and also some useful photography and filmmaking tips.
The training session is being held on 21 June from 12pm – 2pm at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square, Portsmouth.
If you would like to attend this session, then please contact: bigscreen@portsmouthcc.gov.uk to book your place. Please note that there are only 30 places available.
After attending this session, you will then be able to attend events, capture them on camera and film and have them showcased on the Big Screen this summer (once the BBC have checked that the material is suitable).
