We thought we would trial a short story about funding opportunities that are available to students to see if you find this information useful. We have received information about the following sources recently, so we will start with these.
If you find this useful, please let us know and we will expand the list. If you know of any funding sources that you would like to share with fellow students, again, just let us know.
CCI Professional practice fund:
Cibas has been developed from the perspective of what it is to be an artist and deals with specific issues that arise from artistic and creative practice. The team develop training days, seminars and networking events based on the needs of the artists and small arts businesses that use the service. There are links here some of their guidance:

Crowd funding platforms are becoming more and more popular. Platforms such as https://sponsorcraft.com and http://www.kickstarter.com/ can help you to raise funds for student projects, ideas, and events. It’s usually free to start your fundraising on these sites, but you do need to be aware that they may charge a % of the money collected. http://crowdsunite.com/ lists other crowd funding platforms.
