A Final year BA (Hons) Drama and Performance student who created company Eyes Open Arts is raising funds for the Alzheimer Society Charity though the sales of tickets. The one night charitable production will be presenting ‘Mort’ a play written by Terry Pratchett and adapted by Stephen Briggs.
‘Mort was expecting to be apprenticed to a blacksmith, or a farmer. But he was offered a more… permanent contract. When Death offers Mort a job, he eagerly accepts. But soon he finds out that being Death isn’t as fun as it sounds. When he is asked to reap the soul of a young princess, his resolve falters, and he sets in motion a chain of events that could have major repercussions for the entire Disc. With the help of a 35-year old teenager and a rather underwhelming wizard, can Mort save the princess and win back his mortality? The chances are one in a million, but they tend to turn up nine times out of ten.’
