Are you a potter, ceramic artist, or an artist using ceramics in your work? Or are you a complete beginner with a desire to learn? Whatever your level of experience come along to our Open House – we may have just what you’re looking for. Thursday 9 May 5-8 pm, at Omega Centre, Omega Street, Portsmouth.
Clay Station is a fully equipped ceramics studio at the Omega Centre in Portsmouth and we offer courses and facilities for both beginners and experienced ceramic artists.
If you have some experience of working with clay you may be interested in our Membership Scheme. Members benefit from open access to the workshop, use of all our equipment, materials at low prices and space in our kilns. There is even a resident expert on hand to offer support. Our aim is to provide makers with an inspirational and creative space in which to work. But its not just about excellent facilities, we’re also offering opportunities to meet up with other makers, attend a programme of events and specialist workshops and take part in group exhibitions. We will even promote you and your work through our online sites.
If you’re a beginner then come and find out about our WEA courses. They are all reasonably priced and concessions are available. We can teach you all the hand building techniques you need to know and get you started on throwing. You will be creating your own masterpieces in no time. You can even sign up for a short taster session to find out what’s possible.
So come and meet the team – we’ll have the wine and nibbles waiting for you!
