James Rutherford recently won this year’s BAFTA Award for Television Craft , Digital Creativity for his work during the coverage of the London Paralympics 2012. James, a 2002 University of Portsmouth graduate in Bsc(Hons) Entertainment and Technology, is currently the Multiplatform Commissioning Editor for Sport Editor (MPCEs).

Barry Zee and Peter Missen, UoP MA Fine Art students, are presenting ‘Foreign Bodies’ at the new White Elephant gallery in Eastney, Portsmouth. Peter is currently researching the aesthetics of binary based codes for his MA in Fine Art. Barry is currently researching political economy visual symbols through photography for his MA in Fine Artdegree.

Nine graphic design students received awards for their work this year. This is an extremely rigorous assessment scheme for students to achieve recognition. Two students received commendations and two students received merits. This is a great achievement indeed. Commendations and Merits are very rare.
