Don’t forget to let Student Finance England know.
If you’ve recently opened a student bank account, and you want your loan or grant to be paid into this new account, instead of your current account – then you will need to update your bank details with Student Finance England.
You can edit and amend your bank details online – just log in to your Student Finance account at www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance.
It could take up to a month for your account to be updated – so make sure you leave enough time to make these changes before the next instalment of your loan is made (January 2013). You can also make these changes over the phone by calling the Student Loans Company on 0845 026 2019.
