
Biography
My academic background is within the field of Special Educational Needs and dyslexia in particular and I have worked as a teacher and a SENCO and as an Advisor for Portsmouth Education prior to joining the University of Portsmouth. I am a Master Practitioner in NLP and a qualified NLP coach. My current role in the School of Education and Sociology is Associate Head (Academic) and in addition to this role, I am the Course Leader for the BA Education Studies and I contribute to a range of courses including undergraduate, postgraduate and Initial Teacher Education.
Research Interests
I have recently completed my Ph.D. which explored the role of reflection in the emerging professionalisation of Teaching Assistants.
