Biography
I am currently a Senior University Tutor in Forensic Investigation and have worked for the University since 2010. During my time at Portsmouth I have completed an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice with distinction and have also received a Post Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
Prior to working at the University I worked for Surrey Police as a Scenes of Crime Officer from 2006 – 2010. Whilst in this position I completed the National Policing Improvement Agency Volume Crime Scene Investigator, Conversion and Development courses. I also completed the Durham University professional diploma in Crime Scene Examination with Merit.
Before taking up my position at Surrey Police I was an Administrative Assistant for the Police Service of Northern Ireland 2005-2006, working in the Criminal Investigation Department, preparing case files for court.
In 2006 I graduated from Teesside University with a First Class (Hons) in Crime Scene Science.

- Fingerprint Analysis and Recovery
- Fire Investigation
- Firearms Investigation
- Sexual Offences Investigation
I have recently set up a Firearms Research hub for students within the department to develop their research ideas within this area.
