Revd. Connie Sherman

Biography

I am the University Anglican Chaplain and an honorary Chaplain at St Thomas Anglican Cathedral in Southsea.

In 2018 I joined the university, after working as a parish priest and hospital Chaplain. Before ordination I worked for Aggie Weston’s, a Christian Naval charity and I was based in Portsmouth dockyard, supporting the Chaplaincy team there.

I studied Theology at the University of Greifswald and Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. Whilst training for ordination in the Church of England, I completed an MA in Theology at Winchester University.

To support my current role as a chaplain, I am studying a Level 3 course in Counselling Skills.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, including our dog Freyja, reading, cycling, running and going to the theatre.
