Daniel S. Cho is a Lecturer in International Business and Entrepreneurship for the Strategy Enterprise and Innovation (SEI) Group in the Faculty of Business and Law.  He completed this PhD degree in 2022 at Trinity Business School, Dublin.

His research interests are international business (IB), entrepreneurship, regional development, innovation. Current research focus is on the ‘Evolutionary Entrepreneurial Ecosystems (EEE)’ in the context of globalisation and regional economic development. He has published in peer-reviewed journals, such as Small Business Economics and Oxford University Press book chapters. Also, Daniel has taught in various universities in Ireland. He is also a Fellow of HEA.

Prior to joining the research program, he was an entrepreneur and a public accountant.
He joined as a founding board member of ATEAM Ventures to establish the first Online Manufacturing Platform in Asia. He led in Sales and Marketing, as well as worked as a CFO.

He has worked in international finance as well as in energy company as a consultant and a public accountant.

He holds a M.S. in Economics and B.S. in Management & Economics. 

Research interests

Daniel's research focuses on the entrepreneurial ecosystem, impact of MNEs on host location, entrepreneurial ventures and innvation

Teaching responsibilities

Daniel teaches on a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the area of international business and entrepreneurship across the Faculty of Business and Law, including International Business, Comtemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship, and Entrepreneurial Development.
