After finishing  my Phd in Graz University (Austria), I joined the crustal evolution group of Portsmouth to work on the chemistry of accessory minerals in granitoids from different orogens to trace chemical systematics and use them to understand their petrogenesis, and in turn as tracers of tectonic environment of ancient granitoids (in collaboration with Craig Storey and Mike Fowler). As a metamorphic petrologist, I am also interested in the petrology of high grade rocks (migmatites, blueschists and eclogites). I am currently continuing to work on the Chugach Metamorphic Complex (Alaska) and have interest in metabasite rocks from Yell in Shetland (Scotland).
