I am the Research Degrees Co-ordinator for the Marketing Subject Group in the Faculty of Business and Law (BaL) and a Senior Lecturer in Marketing.

My research and teaching are in the fields of consumer behaviour and sustainability.  My industry experience is in brand management and innovation management within FMCG.

I am on the Editorial Review Board for International Journal of Consumer Studies and Journal of Consumer Behaviour.  I also sit on the UKRI Early Career Researcher Forum.  I have published on consumer behaviour and sustainability in different journals, such as Business Horizons, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, Journal of Consumer Policy, Futures, Psychology & Marketing.

Before I worked in academia, I gained over 10 years industry experience working in both Brand Management and Innovation Management for blue-chip companies such as Nestle, United Biscuits, Birds Eye and Electrolux on a variety of brands such as McVitie's (including Jaffa Cakes and Penguin), Bird's Eye, Sugar Puffs, Buxton Mineral Water, Felix Cat Food and Zanussi.

I joined the University of Portsmouth’s Marketing Subject Group in 2012 and I obtained my PhD in Marketing from University of Lancaster (March, 2016).   I am currently the Research Degrees Co-ordinator for the Marketing Subject Group, where I monitor the progress of our PhD students along with representing PhD supervisors at a faculty level. I am also the Course Leader for International Business, so I send students to study at 1 or 2 of BaL’s international partner institutions in locations such as America, Canada, Europe, the Far East and Australia.
