Hi, I am Simon. I was born in Coventry during the ‘Swinging Sixties’ and grew up on the beaches of Bournemouth.
When I left school, I initially trained as a teacher before feeling a vocational call to ordained Christian ministry in the Methodist Church. Prior to coming to join the Portsmouth Chaplaincy Team in 2013, I had served in local Church-based ministry for 19 years.
I am also a trained counsellor with a particular interest in adolescent psycho-social, spiritual and religious development.
I am married to Helen, a primary head teacher, and have two adult daughters. I love music, cooking and sport – being a big fan of both the Ospreys and Welsh Rugby Teams. (In honour of my Welsh grandfather.)
