I am a Principal Lecturer, and the Director of Postgraduate Marketing Programmes, in Marketing Subject Group of the Faculty of Business and Law.
Before joining the University of Portsmouth in August 2012, I had several years working experiences in retailing and SME sectors. My research and teaching specialisms are in the field of digital marketing and social media marketing.
I have published in book chapters and journals including Technical Forecasts and Social Changes (3 ABS) among others. Also, I am a reviewer for the Journal of Marketing Communications (2 ABS).
I obtained my Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Portsmouth in 2013. My research was drawn the concept of social capital and explore its marking potential in online brand communities.
I was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Sep 2013, leading modules on applied market research with live client projects. This provides me the opportunities to establish and develop collaborations with local SMEs and charities.
In 2018, I took the position as the Director of Postgraduate Marketing Programmes, responsible for postgraduate course management and admission.
My research interests lie in the areas of social media marketing, digital media, and technologies in marketing, and marketing research in emerging markets, for example, China. Methodologically, my primary interests are in quantitative research design.

PhD of Research Supervision
I am interested in supervising new doctoral students doing work close to the above-indicated areas.
I teach on a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the area of marketing, including Marketing in Action, Digital Marketing Strategy, Social Media Marketing, Contemporary Issues in Marketing. I also contribute to the postgraduate programme and curriculum development.
