Accelerating Women's Enterprise programme

Cost: Free

Designed for aspiring female entrepreneurs in need of business support and guidance, you can benefit from this research and mentoring programme. 

Accountancy Clinic

Cost: Free
Dates: September-January

If you're a trustee of a charity, social enterprise or community interest group in Hampshire needing help with your accounting, our pro-bono accounting clinic can help get your finances in order. 

Business Consultancy Projects (BCP)

Cost: Free
Dates: September-December

This initiative offers you a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team of final year students from the Faculty of Business and Law. Working to your brief, they will tackle a live issue for your business, and deliver a valuable solutions for local businesses of all sizes.

Conferences and Accommodation

Cost: £100-£50,000

From a simple meeting room hire to hosting large international conferences, we offer a very large range of modern and historical venues, and other facilities to ensure your event is successful and memorable.

Coworking and office space

Cost: £95-£430 per month

Our Innovation Connect hubs provide coworking and office space across the city to suit the needs of your growing businesses. The 3 locations are Halpern House, Cell Block Studios and Portsmouth Technopole. If you rent coworking or office space at one of the locations, you can also use meeting spaces in our Future Technology Centre

Economic Impact Analysis

Cost: £20,000-£60,000
Duration: 3 months-1 year

Our analysis examines the effect of your project (e.g. redevelopment) on the economy and the surrounding environment. Allowing you to consider the differences between various scenarios, select the most viable option, and secure funding. 

Entrepreneurs in Residence programme

If you're looking for advice from experienced entrepreneurs, you should join our Entrepreneurs in Residence programme. Our 14 Entrepreneurs in Residence can advise you on your new startup and business plan, guide you in identifying and accessing business networks, and help you develop entrepreneurial skills.  

Legal Advice Clinic

Cost: No cost
Dates/times: September-July, Monday and Wednesday

If you live or work in the Portsmouth area, you can get free and confidential legal advice from our General Legal Advice Clinic.

You'll receive advice from our law students studying law degrees in the Portsmouth Law School. Their advice is guided by qualified solicitors and an experienced tutor. 

Printing Services

Delivering affordable, convenient and quality printing to you. Our team produce on-demand, high volumes and develop bespoke solutions to support your marketing and business goals. We can print on a range of material including business stationery, window graphics, signage, flags and pull up banners.

SIGHT (Supporting innovation and growth in healthcare technologies)

SIGHT is a business support programme developed by the University of Portsmouth to provide help and guidance to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the healthcare technology sector.

Tax Tuesdays

Cost: No cost
Dates/times: Tuesdays, 11.00-3.00pm

Our Accountancy and Financial Management students have teamed up with HIVE Portsmouth to create a series of events offering sole-traders, social entrepreneurs and small enterprises an opportunity to complete their self-assessment tax returns with support navigating the process, whilst enjoying the HIVE space, and free Wi-Fi.
