I am so excited to be the first student at the University of Portsmouth to become an Entrepreneur in Residence. I honestly love helping others and am so enthusiastic about students making use of their free time at university — I believe there is no better time to start a business and to build careers that they love and make an impact.

I am honoured that I have this opportunity amongst other incredible entrepreneurs, and I know first hand how impactful this programme can be as an enterprising student myself.

Henry Brenton, Entrepreneur in Residence

Henry is the founder of Farfly Media, a creative production agency that has helped businesses all over the UK generate sales and transform their online presence through long-term video production and photography plans tailored for social media.

The foundations for Henry’s creative career were built when COVID-19 struck during his first year at the University of Portsmouth. As a part-time key worker and full time student, he spent his remaining available time working with the Southsea community, developing his skills as a freelance videographer and helping local businesses transition their service offers online with scroll-stopping content during the pandemic.

After launching Farfly Media in 2021 with the goal to create reliable consistent content plans for his clients, Henry was nominated for Young Entrepreneur Of The Year at the 2022 Portsmouth News Business Excellence Awards. He has transformed dozens of businesses' online presence all over the UK, and in turn, planted dozens of trees in Nepal to combat deforestation through his ‘One Project Two Trees’ initiative in partnership with Tree-Nation.

Henry has worked with a variety of businesses and brands, from filming with Chris Stussy and DJOKO for music event promotion to creating branding building content in the high performance sports industry for British Paralympic Athlete Lauren Steadman.

Henry Brenton can offer particular expertise in:

  • Film Production

  • Photography
