We're excited to meet you. Check in from 9.30am, grab a refreshment and get ready to learn about studying your favourite subjects at uni.

Welcome! Get an intro to the event, life as a student and see what's coming up today settle in for a thought-provoking lecture on sustainable business.

Sustainable Business

Sustainability is no longer an option for businesses. It’s essential.

Business has a crucial role to play in meeting the environmental and social challenges the world faces. It’s not enough to just make a profit anymore. Now, consumers, employees and investors all expect organisations to make a positive contribution to society, but they can’t do it without you.

*Pick to attend 1 of the following sessions during Seminar A (as you book your place).

  • Economics – Why are we running out of rainforests? Where have all the fish gone?
  • Business Management: A sustainable approach to managing people
  • Law – Everyone should become vegetarian: The big courtroom debate!
  • Marketing – The role of TikTok in marketing sustainability

Doing a placement before you graduate is a great way to get long-term experience in a sector, or start your own business. They give you real-life employability skills and work experience that is invaluable when applying for a job as a graduate.

Discover the benefits and opportunities of a placement year degree, including how the process works and speak to current students currently on a placement year in industry.

*Unless you're picking Law, we'll run through the same talks in the afternoon sessions, so pick to attend a different talk during Seminar B (as you book your place):
