You can be part of this BBC ONE programme investigating the truth about sports bras

BBC ONE are working closely with the University of Portsmouth's Research group in Breast Health to investigate the truth about sports bras.

We are looking for women to join us in our laboratory at the University of Portsmouth to put some sports bras to the test! In doing so, you will feature in the BBC One programme 'The truth about...' and help to raise awareness of the research that takes place at the University.

Participant characteristics

  • Staff, Students, General public
  • Female
  • Aged between 18-39yrs
  • Wear bras
  • Live in or near Portsmouth
  • Have not been pregnant or breast fed within the last year
  • Have not had any surgical procedurees to the breast

9am - 5pm

Location

University of Portsmouth, School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science, Spinnaker Building, Cambridge Road, PO1 2ER

What will participants be doing?

  • Talking through their own sports bra experiences.
  • Putting up to 3 different sports bra styles to the test by running on a treadmill for short durations of up to two minutes at a time. During this time, the bra performance will be measured using motion sensors.
  • There may be a requirement to carry out other activities e.g. Jumping and Yoga poses.
