Awareness of mental health issues and needs of children, young people and families has increased and many effective interventions exist. However, the proportion of those who need mental health care but do not receive adequate support remains high.

This event is centred around research and practice with young people with lived experiences of mental health issues. As part of this we will report on a number of practical ‘on-the-ground’ projects centralising the voices of young people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, in order to improve understanding of and engagement with their mental health needs.
