Connor's 3 top tips:

  1. Say yes – Never decline any opportunity that you are presented with. This goes for job offers, work experience, work projects, etc. You never regret the things that you do try, just the things that you never tried
  2. Be open-minded – it is easy to judge a book by its cover, or to get hung-up on your idea of your ‘dream role’. Sometimes we need to reimagine the possible – so not holding out for that dream job that in reality we might never get, but rather being willing to give something a go in the interim which may well surprise us.
  3. Be different – Be it in the job interview, or in the job role and think outside the box. Businesses are very ‘set in their ways’. This is not a threat, it is an opportunity to challenge the norm and upset the status quo, but for the better.
