SIGHT: Principles of Research Design and Integrity Interactive Seminar
Good research design produces research of high integrity and value. In this interactive seminar Dr Simon Kolstoe will outline how ethics and governance processes support good research design and experimental/trial conduct. After reviewing some key principles in research design, he will discuss how these are reviewed and evaluated by ethics committees.
Dr Kolstoe will illustrate the discussion with examples of COVID-19 research that have recently been reviewed by NHS, PHE and MOD research ethics committees.
This event has a limited number of tickets.
Dr Simon Kolstoe is the University of Portsmouth Ethics Advisor, Chair of the MOD, PHE and NHS (Hampshire A) research ethics committees, and a Senior Lecturer in Evidence Based Healthcare.
