We’re running a Virtual Summer School for year 10 students until 1 August 2020. You’ll need to register to get involved.
We’ve packed the Virtual Summer School full of great online content and activities to provide a real taste of uni:

  • Ask the expert – have your questions answered through our live webinars, and find out what university life is like directly from our students.
  • Taster sessions – learn about the subjects you can study at university through online taster sessions and activities.
  • Take a virtual tour – explore our halls of residence, peak inside our lecture theatres and check out our sports labs.
  • Virtual graduation – we’re hosting a live virtual graduation at the end of the week. Make your own mortar boards and join us to graduate from the UP for Uni Virtual Summer School, having completed all the challenges during the week.

You'll take part in online and offline activities and challenges, and keep digital scrapbook as a record of your experiences. A bit like uni, the Virtual Summer School is flexible, so you can come and go at your convenience.

We'll give you time slots for our online webinars, which will take place between 6 – 10 July 2020. But don't worry if you miss them, we'll publish the recordings on the hub for you to access until 1 August 2020.

How will it work?

When you register you'll go straight to the Virtual Summer School hub.

Complete your interactive challenges and activities, keep a record of it all in your own digital scrapbook, and share what you’ve been up to on social media – from home or school.

Go at your own pace, around your schedule, and keep logging in to finish your scrapbook. We'll keep the Virtual Summer School live until 1 August 2020.

Will you be safe online?

The Virtual Summer School is only open to other year 10 students, and the university staff and students involved in delivering the event.

You won’t be able to talk directly to each other via the website, and won’t need to use a webcam, but you'll be able to ask questions to our students and staff through live chat.

Start exploring now. Register below and access all the content before 1 August 2020.
