Effective working relationships depend on constructive communication. Communication is the creation, transmission, interpretation and use of information. The meaning of a communication is more dependent on how people receive the message, rather than what the communicator intended. Improving the way we communicate can have many benefits and is a key skill in today’s workplace.

Teaching
You'll be taught by Wendy McCormick and Michelle Juchau.
Wendy is a Chartered Engineer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth. She has a Master’s degree in Learning and Teaching and expertise in project management. Michelle is Programme Leader of the Learning at Work courses at the University of Portsmouth. She has a wealth of experience in learning and teaching, specifically developing skills within the workplace. Prior to joining academia, Michelle worked in enforcement, requiring extensive training in effective communication.
